RSoft Design Group has released version 7.0 of its Passive Component Design Suite software, which includes the modules BeamProp, FullWave, BandSolve, GratingMod, DiffractMod, FemSim and Most. The upgrade includes nonuniform mesh generation and improved usability. The enhanced mesh generation results in more flexible computer-aided design layout and greater simulation accuracy. FemSim and DiffractMod’s advanced simulation algorithms increase speed. DiffractMod also has expanded launch and analysis capabilities. FullWave includes the Q-Finder module for calculating cavity modes and Q factors, and it has improved clustering abilities.
