The Bumblebee2, a stereo vision camera from
Point Grey Research Inc., is designed as a drop-in replacement for the original Bumblebee camera. It operates at higher frame rates and has a GPIO connector for external trigger and strobe functions. The RoHS-compliant instrument is packaged in a 157 × 36 × 47.4-mm case and offers onboard color processing and a second-generation calibration retention system for improved resilience. Users can choose a 3.8- or a 6-mm focal length lens. The camera comes with a license to the Digiclops and the Triclops software development kits.
