GREEN LASER
The Atlas pump laser introduced by
Thales Laser uses glass phosphate technology and is pumped by a high-energy flashlamp. Typical repetition rate is one shot per minute up to 0.05 Hz. It delivers 2 × 25-J pulses in the green region of the spectrum with a 20-ns pulse duration, maintaining a super-Gaussian beam profile. The laser head measures 150 × 200 cm. A beam shaper optimizes the fill factor, and energy extraction is highly efficient without introducing additional diffraction effects. The laser extracts 50 J at 527 nm using only six amplifiers.
