Mightex Systems has unveiled USB 2.0 monochrome and color cameras, which are available with 1.3M and either 1.3M or 3.0M CMOS sensors, respectively. Suitable for applications such as digital microscopy and medical imaging, the devices deliver 24 fps in full resolution and up to 600 fps using region-of-interest mode. The company provides graphical user interface-based application software and a software development kit, for integrating the cameras into specific applications. The monochrome camera offers greater sensitivity in the near-IR and UV regions because there is no Bayer color filter on the sensor.
