The Recon XT-2X and X200xp-2X manufactured by P&R Technologies Inc. are palm-size thermal imaging security and surveillance cameras that feature a proprietary 2× adapter lens that doubles their range. The lens, which attaches over a stock type and improves image quality while providing effective ranges beyond 3000 ft, can be added or taken off without turning the camera off. It is made of pure germanium and can be purchased with the camera or as an optional accessory. It fits all of the company’s previous L3 model X100xp cameras.
