EMCCD CAMERA

Unveiled by
QImaging, the Rolera-MGi combines electron-multiplying CCD (EMCCD) technology and FireWire connectivity for ultralow-light dynamic fluorescence imaging and spinning-disk confocal microscopy applications. It incorporates a back-illuminated 512 × 512-pixel EMCCD from e2v technologies, which enables charge to be multiplied before readout. The camera achieves quantum efficiency of 90% from 500 to 650 nm and offers previewing and focusing in real time. It operates at ≥300 fps with 6 × 6 binning and region of interest, and produces 30 fps full resolution at 14 bits. Employing three-stage Peltier cooling, it operates from 0 to 30 °C.
