    • The US government has extended a contract with Lumera Corp. of Bothell, Wash., to develop wideband optical modulators. The 12-month contract is valued at approximately $1.15 million, and the overall value of the contract is about $6.9 million. The modulators are designed to provide improved fiber optics systems that deliver increased bandwidth and use less power.
