ELECTRON-MULTIPLYING CCD CAMERA

The SI-VGA60-EM manufactured by
Salvador Imaging Inc. is a 658 × 496-pixel electron-multiplying CCD camera that operates at 30 or 60 fps and that is available in color and monochrome versions. Exposure times range from 500 μs to 5 s, and operating temperature is from 0 to 45 °C. The camera offers 14-bit digitization, 500:1 antiblooming, interline frame transfer for on-chip electronic shuttering and programmable operation via serial port over a Camera Link interface. Pixel size is 10 × 10 μm, dynamic range is 70 dB, and power supply is 24 VDC or 110/220 VAC with an AC/DC converter. Power dissipation is 18 W at 25 °C ambient. An integrated closed-loop thermoelectric cooler reduces dark current and dark current noise. Applications include night vision, surveillance, security and low-light video microscopy.
