A variable attenuator/beamsplitter has been developed by Impulse Optics. The device is designed to work with lasers at a variety of wavelengths and to provide affordable and easy solutions to dividing beams. It divides an incident polarized light beam into two beams by 90°. A polarizing beamsplitting cube is built on these wavelength options: 532, 632.8, 800 and 1064 nm. It is available in other wavelengths upon request. Applications include holography and precision interferometry. It can be used also as an attenuator for general lab work.
