Intense Ltd. has unveiled its Hermes family of compact modular laser diodes, bars and stacks based on the proprietary and patented Quantum Well Intermixing process. The lasers operate in CW and quasi-CW modes at 808 nm with up to 5 W of power and at 940 and 980 nm with 7 W. Also available are unpackaged laser bars with up to 100 W of power at 808 and 940 nm, as well as a conductively cooled 808-nm bar that produces up to 60 W and a microchannel cooled bar at 808 nm that produces up to 100 W. Vertically and horizontally stacked assemblies of 10 bars are offered in lensed and unlensed configurations, operating in quasi-CW mode at 808 nm and producing up to 850 W.
