Perseus, manufactured by Aculight Corp., is a family of eye-safe, high-power pulsed fiber lasers that generate 2- to 6-ns pulses at repetition rates from 20 to 500 kHz. They deliver up to 4 W of average power and 60 μJ of pulse energy in a fiber output with M2 <1.5. The conduction-cooled lasers measure 2.6 × 6 × 7 in., weigh <5 lb and operate from a 22- to 30-VDC supply. They are fully self-contained in an environmentally hardened and hermetically sealed package and are suitable for applications in ladar and rangefinding, surveillance, mapping and sensing.
