A variety of high-power fiber optic combiners are available from Sifam Fibre Optics Ltd. The fused components are used to combine the output of up to 19 multiwatt semiconductor laser diodes into a single fiber output. The devices can achieve optical CW output power of >100 W. The fiber combiners have single-mode fiber feedthrough. The company also has introduced combiners with large-mode-area feedthrough. The devices allow for more efficient use in lower power applications, such as printing.
