Fianium Ltd. has announced the availability of the SC450-AOTF line of supercontinuum fiber lasers with acousto-optic tunable filters and multichannel radio-frequency drivers. The white-light laser sources provide the spectral content of an incandescent lamp as well as fast selection of individual colors with variable intensity. Up to eight wavelength bands can be selected, with channel bandwidths from 1 to >15 nm. The 300 × 250 × 200-mm devices operate at a 450- to 700-nm wavelength, a 40-MHz repetition rate and a 20-ps pulse width. Maximum power consumption is 150 W. The devices are suitable for biomedical applications.
