Launched by austriamicrosystems AG, the AS1110 is a 16-channel constant-current LED driver that uses serial data input/output lines for error information read back. The output ports accommodate maximum voltage of 15 V. The currents can be adjusted from 0.5 to 100 mA through an external resistor. Accuracy between channels is ±3%. The device can drive up to 64 independent LED nodes and can detect overtemperature as well as open or short circuits. Operating temperature is from –40 to 85 °C. The low-current diagnostic mode eliminates flickering of LED displays during error detection.
