The Remote-Eye announced by Imaging Solutions Group is a custom camera platform that can be coupled with any area- or line-scan CCD or CMOS image sensor. It has a Linux CPU and 10/100 Ethernet, onboard jpeg compression, NTSC composite and S-video. Features include an onboard field-programmable gate array for user configurability, a compact form factor, user-programmable exposure timing and frame rate, built-in test pattern, and input/output for triggers and synchronization flexibility. The camera is available in color and monochrome versions and is suitable for security and surveillance, machine vision, automated inspection and Internet monitoring.
