Trumpf GmbH + Co. KG of Ditzingen and Jenoptik AG of Jena, both in Germany, have announced their intent to set up a joint venture. The company, JT Optical Engine GmbH + Co. KG, will be headquartered in Jena and will develop, manufacture and market optical engine modules for fiber optic lasers. Each company will have a 50 percent share of the concern. Antitrust approval of the joint venture is pending.
