Nexxus Lighting Inc. of Charlotte, N.C., has signed a nonbinding letter of intent to acquire LightWild of Overland Park, Kan., a manufacturer of software-controlled solid-state LED products for the architectural lighting market. These products include modular linear lighting, illuminated floor tiles and pixels. With the acquisition, Nexxus will expand its portfolio of products and grasp of the market, and Lightwild will maintain its branding and location. The transaction is scheduled to close on or before Aug. 30, subject to review of due diligence as well as approval by Nexxus’ board of directors and other customary closing conditions.
