Samsung Electronics America Inc. of Anaheim, Calif., and 3M of St. Paul, Minn., have collaborated to develop a digital signage system. The product combines the former’s SP-P310MEMX pocket imager with 3M’s Vikuiti rear-projection display film to enable projection and display of images from computers, digital cameras, DVD players and other devices under varied light conditions. Applied to glass or another smooth surface, the self-adhesive film allows visualization of images projected from a distance of 1.3 to 8.2 ft. The imager incorporates an LED and digital light processing technology.
