In Florida, Advanced Science and Technology Inc. of Stuart has been bought out by Sol Inc. of Palm City. The former company manufactures drivers for DC lighting applications and controllers for solar systems — technologies that the latter company may use in LED-based lighting products that it plans to introduce.
