Flir Systems Inc. of Portland, Ore., has received a $6 million contract from the US Customs and Border Protection of Washington for its Ranger III multisensor systems. The devices, designed for targeting, reconnaissance, coastal surveillance and other applications, will replace older thermal imaging systems currently in place along the United States’ southern border.
