GALVANOMETER-BASED SCANNER

Cambridge Tech.jpgFor 50-, 75-mm and larger-aperture applications, Cambridge Technology Inc. has introduced a galvanometer-based optical scanner. The 6260H combines proprietary moving-magnet actuator technology and a patented advanced optical position detector design to offer high torque per watt and closed-loop bandwidths. It can be configured and optimized for speed, size and accuracy with typical beam diameters from 1 to 25 mm. Several connector and cable options are offered to meet specific requirements. Mechanical specifications include maximum rotor temperature of 110 °C and rotor-to-case thermal resistance of 0.2 °C/W. Maximum peak current is 50 A. Linearity is 99.9% minimum over 20° and 99.5% typical over 40°. Short-term repeatability is 8 μrad.
