Nufern has released the NuFire 200-W ytterbium fiber laser system. The device features air cooling, a three-rack-unit form factor and a remote mountable I/O panel. With slew rates of 70 W/μs and precision pulse control to 5 μs rise/fall time, the laser can precisely control and optimize cut and weld quality. A maximum modulation frequency of >120 kHz at full power enables more power to be delivered to a workpiece in a given time interval, resulting in higher throughput in a manufacturing environment.
