Vertilon Corp. has announced that it has added the SDS232 multichannel distribution system to its PhotoniQ data acquisition product line. Compatible with the IQSP480, the device allows up to 32 photomultiplier tubes and photodiodes to be directly connected to a PhotoniQ charge acquisition system. Together, the instruments collect signals across all input channels and stream the data to a PC over a USB 2.0 interface. With a dynamic range of 96 dB and single-photon sensitivity, the instruments acquire and transfer data from 32 sensors at rates >130,000 events per second. Applications include bioaerosol detection and flow cytometry.
