The TruDisk 1000 manufactured by Trumpf Laser GmbH + Co. KG is a disk laser with 1 kW of output power for cutting and welding thin sheets. The beam quality of 2 mm*mrad permits the use of a 50-μm laser light cable for high processing speeds. Good focusability results in a longer processing distance. The instrument is supplied with TruControl software and a removable touch screen operator panel. It has a compact design and requires minimal floor space, making it well suited for industrial uses. Applications include precision cutting and welding as well as robotic 3-D cutting.
