T-Ray 4000, announced by Picometrix LLC, is a time-domain terahertz generation and detection system that has interchangeable fiber-coupled heads and all necessary components built in. The sensor heads collect data in either reflection or transmission mode. Bandwidth is from 0.02 to 2 THz, the polarization extinction ratio is >20:1, the signal-to-noise ratio is >70 dB, and rapid scan range and rate are 320 ps and 100 Hz, respectively. Long-scan range is 2.8 ns. The system operates from a 110/220-VAC supply, measures 17.5 × 19.5 × 7 in. and weighs 55 lb.
