The Scientific LS-03-D manufactured by Cascade Technologies Ltd. is a quantum cascade tunable mid-IR laser driver system for use in laser spectroscopy, gas monitoring, combustion diagnostics and biomarker detection. It produces resolution of 0.01 cm^–1, outputs up to 100 mW and delivers pulsed operation with up to 50-nm CW tuning. Features include an electronic driver that provides a low-noise voltage supply and stable thermoelectric control, USB connectivity for plug-and-play operation with stand-alone Windows-based software and LabView drives to facilitate integration into experiments. Rise/fall time is 10 ns, pulse repetition rate is <100 kHz, and pulse width is <1 μs.
