In California, optical coating supplier Dominar Inc. of Santa Clara has acquired San Jose-based Ellis Optical Technology, which offers expertise in fiber optics and glass technology. The acquisition will enable Dominar to broaden its product offerings and to present its optical design capabilities to a wider customer base. With experience in developing coating solutions, John Ellis, former owner of Ellis Optical, has assumed the position of chief operating officer of Dominar.
