In Germany, Carl Zeiss Industrielle Messtechnik GmbH of Oberkochen, which specializes in industrial metrology, has acquired Dr. Wolf & Beck GmbH of Wangen. Zeiss has been a majority owner of the latter company for five years and has completed the purchase to pursue its growth strategy, which is focused on adding optical measuring technology and multisensor applications to its portfolio.
