Picometrix LLC, a subsidiary of Advanced Photonix Inc. in Ann Arbor, Mich., has been awarded a follow-on Phase II Small Business Innovation Research contract from the US Air Force. The $750,000 award will further the development of a handheld imager to perform nondestructive tests that will identify defects in radomes, the geometric structures used to protect radar systems from the elements.
