Toyoda Gosei Ltd. of Aichi, Japan, and Osram GmbH of Munich, Germany, have signed an agreement allowing the mutual use of patents. The contract allows both companies to use the Japanese firm’s blue LED technology and the German company’s industrial production techniques and white LEDs to develop and market new products without fear of patent violations.
