Point Grey Research Inc. has released the FWB-PCIE-01 single-bus and the FWB-PCIE-02 dual-bus FireWire cards designed for multiple camera arrays and applications that require fast data transfer into the host system. The dual-bus option allows simultaneous image acquisition from up to 16 cameras, with throughput of 160 MB/s. Both cards include a standard-size PCIe mounting bracket, two bilingual FireWire ports with a locking screw connection and an internal power connector. Both support data transfer rates of 100, 200, 400 and 800 Mb/s. Maximum power consumption at 12 V is 0.5 W, maximum output at 12 V is 1 A per port, and operating temperature is from 0 to 45 °C. The cards are RoHS-, FCC- and CE-compliant.
