Vision Components GmbH has released version 1.5 of its EyeSpector drag-and-drop machine vision sensor software for gauging, inspection, orientation and recognition tasks. EyeSpector locates and measures parts and measures colors based on red-green-blue/hue-intensity-saturation. Version 1.5 has an additional 20 graphically programmable image-processing functions. It includes support to facilitate 2- and 3-D calibration and communication with robots. Enhanced communication functions enable data transfer among several smart cameras and hosts, providing support for multicamera and 3-D applications. The software works with VC4xxx real-time and network-ready cameras, including color, line-scan and megapixel models up to 240 fps.
