Multicore processing support has been added to Comsol Inc.’s Multiphysics 3.4 engineering and scientific software for modeling and simulating physics-based systems. With parallelized meshing, assembly and solving, the feature increases solver speed and accuracy. The program’s fluid dynamic solver update simulates problems in chemical engineering, in heat transfer and in microfluidics applications. In addition, the program includes discipline-specific modules, boundary layer meshing, bubbly flow interfaces, mixture model two-phase flow interfaces, nonlinear parameter estimation, piezoacoustic multiphysics modeling and fatigue analysis.
