To enable developers to create high-precision, scalable real-time systems that track people and objects for retail, surveillance and interactive entertainment applications, Tyzx Inc. has launched the Tyzx PersonTrack. It tracks large numbers of people and objects to a precise floor plan grid measured in centimeters, even in crowded environments that have variable lighting. Embedded G2 cameras perceive the world in three dimensions, transforming 2-D images into structured 3-D locations of people in real time. The system comprises one or more G2 cameras, a central Moderator software program, console software and an application programming interface that integrates PersonTrack data output with other information technology systems.
