Cognex Corp. has introduced the Vision Pro 4.4 machine vision software library. Supporting the company’s MVS-8600e frame grabbers and twice the number of analog, digital and direct-connect cameras as previously, the program has been updated to be compatible with Microsoft Vista and to improve the FireWire acquisition engine. Equipped with a suite of vision tools to evaluate, implement and deploy solutions, the program communicates with the factory floor via Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol.
