Dalsa Corp. has launched the Falcon 1.4M100, a 1.4-megapixel area camera that delivers 100 fps at full 1400 × 1024-pixel resolution in a 44-mm3 package suitable for electronics and semiconductor inspection applications. With the company’s CMOS sensor and global shutter technology, the device achieves 57-dB dynamic range and high speeds without smear or distortion. The CamExpert graphical user interface enables users to program and control exposure, windowing, gain and offset adjustment, and flat-field correction, while 10-m-long miniature Camera Link cables transmit data at a faster rate than before.
