DuPont Microcircuit Materials, a division of DuPont Electronic Technologies, has released its Solamet thick-film metallization product series for solar cell manufacturers. With higher cell efficiencies and production yields, and lower material consumption, the screen-printable materials reduce cost per watt. Updated front-side n-type silver contacts exhibit improvements in contact resistance, conductivity, aspect ratio, print speed and mechanical properties. Other upgrades include high-coverage solderable tabbing silvers and silver aluminum inks, and low-bow high-electrical-performing aluminum metallization.
