Sabeus Garners Grant to Improve Production
Sabeus Corp. of Calabasas, Calif., has received an Innovation Adoption Award from Innovation Works, a Pittsburgh-based Ben Franklin Technology Partner. The company operates a manufacturing facility in Freeport, Pa., and produces fiber optic sensing systems for telecommunications, oil and gas exploration, and defense applications. The $45,000 grant will assist in Sabeus’ collaborative work with the University of Pittsburgh’s Swanson Center for Product Innovation to improve its manufacturing processes. The goal is to increase the speed and output capacity of operations as well as to enhance product reliability.
