Company to Supply UV Filter Assemblies for Military Aircraft
II-VI Inc. of Saxonburg, Pa., has received $17 million in orders from a military customer to supply UV filter assemblies for systems designed to protect aircraft against missile threats. The orders represent the initial release on a multiyear, sole-source contract. They were recognized by the company’s near-IR optics business segment in December 2006 and are expected to be converted into revenues through the end of this year.
