The SVstream manufactured by SVS-Vistek GmbH is a digital image recorder for monitoring high-speed events and processes. It records up to 1700 images per second, stores them as a stream and plays them forward, backward or at a user-defined speed, such as in slow motion. The camera is compatible with Gigabit Ethernet, Camera Link, FireWire, USB 2.0 and Standard-Video interfaces and provides high-resolution pictures for motion tracking in sports or for optimizing a manufacturing process. An external signal triggers sequence recording and single-image capture. Sequences of up to an hour can be stored either compressed or decompressed, and single images can be isolated from a sequence and stored for documentation purposes.
