Version 2.3.0 of the iPort software development kit has been announced by Pleora Technologies Inc. It provides iPort IP engine users with Gigabit Ethernet Vision and GenICam standards compliance. Users can migrate to GigE Vision with minimal disruption to their usual practices and applications by upgrading the firmware in their IP engine, which can be performed in the field over the GigE link. The software offers a choice between two camera control methods, one based on GenICam and the other leveraging the iPort software development kit’s features.
