To provide homogenized light without glare or hot spots for use in LED applications, Luminit LLC offers elliptical light-shaping diffusers that eliminate the need for secondary optics. They can spread the light 60° in the horizontal direction and 1°in the vertical, converting the linear point sources into a continuous line of light. Other versions include 50° × 4°, 40° × 0.2°, 30° × 1°, 15° × 1° and 26° × 0.2°. The diffusers are holographically recorded randomized surface relief structures that homogenize, spread and soften the light and that ensure precise angular control with transmission efficiency of up to 92%.
