The sprint line-scan cameras manufactured by Basler AG offer line rates of up to 140 kHz at 2- or 4-k resolution. Features include area of interest with linear speed increase, flat field correction and a line sum function based on a dual line. Double-scanning each line of the image doubles the number of collected photons per pixel, without requiring more light. Averaging this data reduces the temporal noise by 30% and improves the signal-to-noise ratio by 3 dB. The Camera Link interface transfers image data to the frame grabber at a high rate of speed. The sensor has a pixel size of 10 × 10 μm.
