PI (Physik Instrumente) LP is offering a series of high-speed objective scanner systems. The Pifoc piezo Z-drive systems are available as individual components or as complete systems that include the mechanics, a controller, adapters and distance cases. They provide a travel range of 100 or 400 μm and either a display controller or a compact one. They can be custom-tuned for speeds of up to 7 ms per step and are compatible with all major image acquisition packages. Applications include 3-D imaging, autofocusing, scanning and alignment tasks in microscopy, and photonic packaging, biotechnology, optics and semiconductor technology.
