Diagnostic Instruments Inc. has released the Spot Xplorer XS, a high-speed, high-sensitivity digital camera that delivers 14-bit megapixel images at up to 11 full fps. The camera offers selected dual-speed readout, features Sony’s ICX285 high-quantum-efficiency CCD (>60%) and includes a user-selectable enhanced-IR response mode. The camera delivers regulated –42 °C cooling without diode glow, providing virtually noise-free, long-exposure fluorescence results.
