Dalsa Corp. has expanded its Genie series of Gigabit Ethernet digital cameras with two higher-resolution models: the M1024 and the M1400. The M1024 uses a 1/3-in. monochrome CCD image sensor with a resolution of 1024 x 768, offering a pixel size of 4.65 × 4.65 at 20 fps. The M1400 uses a 1/2-in. monochrome CCD image sensor with a resolution of 1360 × 1024 at 15 fps. Both cameras transmit data over standard CAT-5e and CAT-6 cables to distances of up to 100 m and are supported by proprietary Sapera Essential machine vision software.
