A provider of materials characterization services, Evans Analytical Group LLC has acquired the operations and assets of Accurel Systems International Corp., both Sunnyvale, Calif., companies, from Implant Sciences Corp. of Wakefield, Mass. The Accurel purchase, along with the 2006 acquisition of Advanced Materials Engineering Research Inc., also in Sunnyvale, has enabled Evans Analytical to create a West Coast center for failure analysis, electron microscopy and focused ion beam circuit edit services to complement its advanced microscopy laboratory in Raleigh, N.C.
