European and Asian manufacturers of high-brightness LEDs have placed orders totaling approximately $11 million with Veeco Instruments Inc. of Woodbury, N.Y. The company will supply these clients with its K-Series TurboDisc metallorganic chemical vapor deposition systems, which can accommodate reactor chambers with higher throughput and larger diameters than previous models.
