Inficon of Zurich, Switzerland, a producer of instrumentation and process control software for the semiconductor, vacuum-coating and other industries, has acquired Maxtek Inc. of Cypress, Calif. The Swiss company will provide Maxtek’s thin-film deposition and quartz crystal microbalance measurement instruments to customers in eyeglass and precision optics manufacturing.
