Cognex Corp.’s In-Sight 5600 series vision sensors offer twice the processing speed and memory to perform inspections as its In-Sight 5400 series. The 5600 line includes standard 640 × 480-pixel-resolution and 2-megapixel models. The CCD sensors are supplied with a library of vision software for inspection, identification, measurement and alignment tasks. Applications include high-speed code reading and mark quality assessment. The company also has announced the release of its In-Sight Explorer software 3.4, which comes with the sensors. The software has enhanced optical character reading and verification tools.
